About Us

At Centro Cívitas, we promote a different way of inhabiting the city, grounded in practical civic engagement.

We reclaim public spaces, empower people to move from being residents to becoming active citizens, and strengthen bonds of solidarity. We believe real change happens when individuals take ownership of their surroundings, organize themselves, and work together — in collaboration with public authorities — to build a dignified present and a better shared future.

We are a non-profit civil association based in Monterrey, Mexico. Since 2020, we have evolved from being mere residents to becoming active citizens who take concrete action for the benefit of our community and the environment.

At Centro Cívitas, we understand civic engagement as something that goes far beyond simply following rules; we see it as the primary tool for improving our shared life. We are a space dedicated to teaching, promoting, and above all, practicing the art of citizenship.

For us, civic responsibility is the balance achieved when our rights are respected and we fulfill our obligations.
